I don’t know if it’s better , but it is at least less fussy . All of Toyota’s designs (excepting maybe their trucks) are waaayyyy too overworked to the point of basically being parody automobiles.

Toyota and Lexus at that. And I agree with you. The design really flows and to me seems like it pays homage to the mk IV, but this time being more lean and athletic looking vs. upscale grand tourer.

I think that nose that you hacked off was supposed to be F1 inspired, but it really doesn’t work, even after they toned it down from the concept.

To me though the roof is the thing I like least, feels like a stupid cap on the car. If the top of the greenhouse was a little higher, I think it would fix it, though making that corner at the back of the glass less shar p would also help.

Just wait. Eventually they’ll do a Lexus version with that FUCKING predator grille. Ugliest design feature on the planet, that - makes me want to throw up every time I see one.

I blame Audi - they started the whole pointlessly large grille thing back in 2004 or so, with the A6. They’re doubly at fault because by that point they had Bauhaus subtlety  very pretty much nailed, and they shat on it.

I have to be honest, the front of the Supra doesn’t do it for me. It reminds me too much of this:

It’s not like it matters, though.  I can’t afford one, and I doubt they will sell in significant numbers enough to be seen frequently in my neck of the woods.
